             What I Recommend for a Total Body Workout Outside           

You have no excuse for not getting a good workout in this spring and summer...all you need
is a little creativity, some sunshine, and motivation to do it!
Here is a great idea for a workout at the park!!

   Warm-Up
  • March in Place while counting to 20.
  • Hop up and down 10 times.
  • Sit down on the park bench and then stand-up 10 times.
  • Hang on the monkey bars for 10 seconds.     
                                                            
    Workout
  • Step-up and down on a low step or bench                                     x10
  • Push-Ups on a picnic table bench/step of a slide                         x10
  • Climb up and slide down a tornado slide                                       x 5
  • Push someone on the Merry-Go-Round                          x 3 circles per direction
  • Pull-Ups on the Swings                                                                     x 5
  • Play Hop Scotch with rocks and sidewalk chalk                            x10

   Stretches
  • Touch your toes and count to 10.
  • Give yourself a “hug” and count to 15.
  • Reach for the sky and count to 20.
  • Pat yourself on the back and count 10.
  • Balance on one foot and count to 10. Repeat on other foot.
